Contests and giveaways
As a freelancer, I only post 1 piece of new content every day. For the rest of my time on social media, I spend engaging with people on their posts and my own posts. This way I do not get burned out and end up on the content creation wheel.

To write a social media post you want it to do these 2 things. Firstly, you want it to be engaging. The more engaging it is the more people who’ll want to comment, like, or share the post. Secondly, you want your social media posts to result in a new follower or click through to your website.
Whilst creating a social media post, do your research first. Research your audience as to what posts they engage with. Also, learn the language they speak. I’m not talking about whether they speak English or another language. Language as with the phrases and terms your target market uses.
How often should you post to social media?
Most studies agree that once per day is optimal, with a maximum of two posts per day. Hubspot found that pages under 10,000 fans experienced a 50% drop in engagement per post if they posted more than once per day. At a minimum, you should post to your Facebook Pages 3 times per week
There are lots of different ways in which you can generate content for your social media, but these are my top 5 favorite social media content ideas. Plus I have noted how you can use each one for your freelance business.
